Newcastle United backed to beat Euro giants to Wilfried Zaha signing after ‘unbelievable’ update – pundit
Paul Robinson has backed Newcastle United to battle Barcelona and Juventus for Wilfried Zaha’s signature this year.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one is adamant the 30-year-old would be an “unbelievable signing” for Eddie Howe’s side.
Zaha has entered the final six months of his contract at Crystal Palace.

According to the Evening Standard (6 January), Barcelona and Juventus are interested in the Ivory Coast international.
Newcastle are in the market for offensive additions this month.
Robinson believes the club should look no further than Zaha.
“Newcastle could do with another winger,” he told Football Insider.
“The player I think they should sign is Wilfried Zaha. He is coming to the end of his contract so the deal would not be a problem for them in terms of Financial Fair Play.
“He has proven himself as a top Premier League player. If he went there he’d slot straight into the team on the left wing. I think he’s be an unbelievable signing.
“Zaha needs to leave Crystal Palace. He needs to go and play for a club who are going to be competing for the top four. I want to see him in the Champions League.

“He could fulfil those ambitions at Newcastle. Look where they are in the league. They are a club moving in the right direction.
“For me, that is a move that makes sense whether it be now or in Janaury.”
