Newcastle United backed to complete ‘perfect’ Ismaila Sarr deal ‘on the cheap’ – Agbonlahor
Gabby Agbonlahor has backed Newcastle to seal a “perfect” move for Watford wide man Ismaila Sarr “on the cheap” this summer.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, tipped the Magpies to pounce on the Hornets’ potential relegation and sign the 24-year-old.
According to The Sun (28 March), Newcastle are targeting Sarr ahead of the summer window – with the Senegal international looking “certain” to depart Watford even if they remain in the Premier League.

The Vicarage Road side are just three points adrift of safety, but have played two more games than 17th-place Everton.
Agbonlahor suggested the prospect of having Sarr and Allan Saint-Maximin in the same side would be exciting for the Newcastle faithful.
When asked if a move for Sarr would be a sensible one, he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury: “100%.
“I really like Sarr, I think he’d be perfect on that right-hand side.
“Wow, what an attack that would be. Saint-Maximin and Sarr on the flanks with Wilson through the middle.
“That’d be a really good bit of business. Newcastle, despite all the money they’ve got, they’ll have to abide by the Financial Fair Play regulations so they’re not able to spend ridiculous amounts of money.
“Getting Sarr on the cheap if Watford go down would be a brilliant idea. I think there’ll be other sides sniffing around too.”
Watford paid a reported £30million to sign Sarr from Rennes in 2019.

The 39-cap Senegal winger has made 16 Premier League appearances this term, scoring five goals.
He is under contract until 2024.
