Newcastle United backed to seal ‘huge’ Youssoufa Moukoko deal after update – pundit
Newcastle United could make a “huge statement” by signing Youssoufa Moukoko from Borussia Dortmund.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
This site revealed on 21 October that Liverpool and Man City are among a number of top European clubs who have set their sights on Moukoko.

Football Insider updated on 2 November to reveal that the teenager had agreed to join England-based agency Unique Sports Management when he turned 18 on 20 November.
On 10 January, The Evening Standard reported Newcastle have made a “substantial verbal approach” for the striker.
However, Wenham has cast doubt on the move as the report also claims the Magpies are offering Moukoko £150,000-a-week.
“It would be a huge statement if Newcastle were to sign him,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I wouldn’t want my club paying £150,000-a-week. That is a lot of money for an 18-year-old. You are talking about the same money as someone like Harry Kane.
“That sends the wrong impression. He would essentially be a free signing so what would he be on the market, £20million or more?
“So I do see the argument of you aren’t paying a transfer fee so just whack it on wages. He would be a great signing for Newcastle.
“He has huge potential but is also someone who could come in immediately and do a job.”

Moukoko has made 14 Bundesliga appearances this season with eight of those being starts.
He has scored six goals.
