Kieran Maguire: Newcastle United generating ‘global’ buzz as Emrah Cinik deal agreed
Newcastle United are looking to appeal to a “global” audience with their latest commercial partnership.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Magpies’ new agreement with Dr Cinik.
Newcastle announced on Monday (5 September) that they had signed a deal with the hair transplant specialists, whose branding will feature both at St James’ Park and across the club’s digital channels.
The company’s founder, Emrah Cinik, gave a statement to club media expressing his pleasure at being associated with “one of the most established clubs in the Premier League”.
The Tyneisders must boost their commercial revenue if they are to unlock the unlimited spending potential of their Saudi owners.
Maguire claims that the new partnership with Dr Cinik will help to expand their commercial footprint around the world.
“The Big Market is one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World but it isn’t normally associated with people with hair transplants,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“So, while there might be some interest from those in Newcastle’s fanbase, this is more of an issue in terms of the sponsor trying to get its product noticed by a broader element of the fanbase.

“Newcastle have increased interest in pushing the club towards a more global scale following the takeover, of course.
“It could be that this is the target market as far the relationship with Dr Cinik is concerned.”
