The Republic of Ireland international never looked in trouble against Palace, and pulled off some good saves to keep them at bay.
While his defensive efforts were solid, so was his distribution, with sensible throws and confident kicks up field to his team mates.
When the players have someone confident and reliable behind them like Elliot, they can relax and play their natural game.
