Newcastle player ratings v Crystal Palace: 24-year-old out of his depth

A goal scoring performance last week, his display went a bit under the radar against Palace – not that that is a bad thing.
In the side to act as a defensive midfielder, he did just that, breaking down the opposition’s attacks and feeding his team mates to push on.
Was replaced not long after half time as Benitez looked to create a spark of inspiration and Hayden was the player least likely to offer that in the starting XI.
Still, fans can have few complaints as the former Arsenal man continues to impress in the top flight.
