Newcastle United tipped to seal ‘three quality signings’ after Eddie Howe reveal – pundit
Paul Robinson expects Newcastle United to make “three quality signings” in the summer transfer window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one suggested the club will target players who can help them “bridge the gap to the top six.”
As quoted by the Chronicle (21 May), Eddie Howe insisted any new recruits this summer must “understand what it means to play for the club.”

The Magpies’ January signings have all hit the ground running in black and white.
Bruno Guimaraes, Kieran Trippier, Dan Burn, Matt Targett and Chris Wood all moved to St. James’ Park in January.
Isaac Hayden, Jamal Lewis and Ciaran Clark were omitted from Newcastle’s revised Premier League squad list as a result.
Robinson suspects there will be a lot of exits from the club this summer.
“I doubt we will see the influx of players that was maybe first expected when the owners came in,” he told Football Insider.
“They obviously have to be wary of FFP so I think we’ll see smart signings from Newcastle. They have to shop carefully and cleverly. It is a work in progress.
“Eddie Howe did very well in January and he has proven that he can be trusted with a budget.

“They will be looking for two or three quality signings that can help them bridge the gap to the top six. I think that has top be their aim next season.
“As well as signing players they need to get rid of players. They have to get players off the wage bill. I suspect it will be a busy summer of both incomings and outgoings.”
