Newcastle United to 'treble their money' as new transfer model unveiled - Stefan Borson
Newcastle United are likely to make huge profit on the youngsters that Eddie Howe has added to his squad this summer.
That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that Newcastle will be okay financially, but the squad will struggle in 2026-27.
The Magpies have already lost Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali, with Football Insider understanding that Arsenal are taking strides towards signing Bruno Guimaraes.
Howe's side, who finished 12th in the Premier League last season, have now splashed a combined £55million on Aladji Bamba, 20, and Sean Steur,18.
They join Bazoumana Toure and Ewen Jaouen at St James' Park, but there are huge concerns about the lack of leadership ahead of 2026-27.
While Bamba and Steur are likely "low-risk" deals for the Magpies, it is unlikely to help the team to climb the Premier League table next term.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson sees Newcastle making huge profit, but has raised concerns over the short-term future at St James' Park.
"Well, the first thing to say is it's definitely a model, isn't it? It's definitely a very clear desire to sign very young players," he said.
"They probably feel that they can develop these figures with a very limited downside. You're not gonna lose very much, so it's a low risk.
"And if they hit it big time, you'll treble your money, maybe. So that is a clear strategy. It seems a tall order, certainly if Guimaraes leaves as well.
"It seems a tall order to me to replace the experience of [Kieran] Trippier, Tonali, Gordon and Guimaraes with three or four players, who are 21, 22 years of age.
"It's going to take some pretty impressive coaching and management. I think it's going to be a hard season. But you never know. Maybe they know these players are going to click."
Who else could Eddie Howe sign this summer?
Newcastle are expected to lose Guimaraes over the coming weeks, with Arsenal's interest going absolutely nowhere ahead of 2026-27.
Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento are linked with exits, while Joe Willock, who is in the final year of his contract, is being heavily tipped for a move to Turkey.
As reinforcement, Mick Brown told Football Insider that Newcastle could pip Nottingham Forest to the signing of Lucas Bergvall, who wants key minutes next season.
A deal for Monaco's Lamine Camara would also make sense, given Newcastle have just his former teammate, Bamba, for an eye-watering £34m after making just 25 first-team appearances.
