
Newcastle’s Miguel Almiron in advanced talks to join new club – sources
Miguel Almiron is in advanced talks to leave Newcastle and join an unnamed Saudi Pro League club, sources have told Football Insider.
All parties are expecting a deal for the 30-year-old to be agreed before the August 31st transfer deadline day.
Almiron has been offered a “huge” deal by a Saudi Pro League club which will see the Paraguay international land a mammoth pay hike.
Newcastle are in the market for a new winger as they lay the groundwork for Almiron’ and Jacob Murphy’s departure.
The club have an interest in Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville but have made an approach for Chelsea’s Noni Madueke as revealed on 19th July by Football Insider.
Miguel Almiron expected to leave Newcastle for Saudi Arabia
Since joining Newcastle from MLS side Atlanta United back in 2018-19, Almiron has made 209 appearances for the club, scoring 30 goals and providing 12 assists.
Last season was a frustrating one for Almiron and Newcastle, the Paraguayan was only able to score five goals and get three assists.
