West Ham are reportedly on the verge of losing forward Ashley Fletcher to Middlesbrough - and the Hammers fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news.

Although Slaven Bilic had only snapped up the 21-year-old from Manchester United on a four-year deal last summer, Football.London has reported that the Croatian manager has allowed him to leave his squad's training camp in Germany on Thursday ahead of talks with Boro.

Sky Sports have since reported on their live transfer blog on Thursday [09:36am] that Fletcher is now set to undergo a medical on Teesside ahead of a £7million transfer.

Middlesbrough have already spent big this summer by signing up Britt Assombalonga and Martin Braithwaite, however they appear to have shown no signs of letting up in their recruitment drive with Fletcher now also on his way to the Riverside.

Boro are now expected to be title contenders in the Championship next season and SkyBet currently have them priced 13/2 joint-favourites with Aston Villa to top the table by next May.

The former Man United talent only started two Premier League fixtures for West Ham last season - leaving many of their supporters questionning the £7million that Boro are said to be spending, with one saying it's a "good fee" for them to get.
