Nicolas Jackson sends message in response to Chelsea ‘legend’
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has responded to a message from former teammate Thiago Silva after he appeared in a training session.
The 23-year-old striker scored in Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Brentford on Sunday 15 December.
Enzo Maresca’s side currently sit second in the Premier League table, just two points behind Liverpool on 34 points.
Jackson responded to Thiago Silva’s initial post on Instagram after Silva returned to the club to watch their last game and even took part in training.
The Brazilian defender shared a picture with the Senegal international and said in his post, “Great to be back with the boys! Always good to see my Chelsea family”.
Jackson reposted that image on his story to simply say “Legend” followed by a blue heart emoji.

The Blues are enjoying a strong run under Maresca, and their players often take to social media to showcase the positive atmosphere within the squad.
Speculation around the striker position persists, despite Jackson scoring 17 goals and providing six assists across all competitions last season.
Victor Osimhen attracted strong links to the club over the summer after his relationship with Napoli deteriorated. Back in September, Football Insider reported that Chelsea could still make a move for him in the January transfer window.

However, their current top man up front continues to improve and has already scored nine goals in the Premier League this season.
Since the start of last season, he has netted 23 non-penalty goals. That’s the fourth-highest tally, sitting behind players like Alexander Isak and Erling Haaland, which is impressive company to keep [Squawka].
It’s clear that Maresca has implemented a playing style that suits the squad, even with frequent rotations.
Their off-the-ball movements have earned praise from pundits, and players like Marc Guiu, who rarely feature in league matches, are seizing opportunities to shine in other competitions.
Spirits are high in West London, but with the busy festive period fast approaching, the club must prove they can stay in the fight for their first league title since 2017.
