Nicolas Jackson sends passionate four-word message as Chelsea exit looms
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson was passionate in his message to supporters despite speculation surrounding his future.
Chelsea players are revelling in the glory of their Club World Cup triumph after a dominant 3-0 win over PSG in the final.
Cole Palmer was a standout player for Enzo Maresca after scoring twice inside the opening half hour to hand the Blues control.
The Englishman then turned provider shortly after, slipping a perfectly weighted through ball to Joao Pedro, who calmly slotted home his second goal of the tournament to seal a statement victory.
Jackson, however, was an unused substitute on the night, as new arrivals Pedro and Liam Delap were both preferred by the Chelsea head coach.
The striker’s future has since come under increased speculation, with reports suggesting some Chelsea players have privately discussed the possibility of Jackson’s departure this summer.
Despite the uncertainty, Jackson was in high spirits on social media following the win, celebrating alongside his teammates in the dressing room and sharing the moment online.
Chelsea players support Nicolas Jackson after Club World Cup celebrations
Jackson took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message with fans, posting several photos of himself holding the newly redesigned Club World Cup trophy, alongside the caption: “Champions of the World ” with a blue heart emoji.
Despite growing rumours over his future, several teammates rallied behind the post, with likes from Pedro Neto, Marc Cucurella and Robert Sanchez showing their support for the striker.
The former Villarreal forward has had a turbulent few weeks. He was sent off against Flamengo earlier in the tournament and had also received a red card in the closing stages of the Premier League season against Newcastle — incidents that frustrated large sections of the fanbase.
Although Maresca is open to keeping Jackson in the squad, he appears to have fallen down the pecking order following the arrivals of Pedro and Delap.
If the Blues opt to make him available, Jackson could remain in the Premier League, with Football Insider revealing that Aston Villa have made a preliminary move to sign Jackson this summer.

Djordje Petrovic set for Bournemouth switch
While Jackson’s situation remains unresolved, one player whose departure now seems all but confirmed is goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.
Football Insider reported that Chelsea are prepared to sanction a sale after Petrovic after he asked to be left out of the Club World Cup squad in order to explore new opportunities.
Now, it seems like he has secured that move away, as Bournemouth have reportedly agreed a fee with Chelsea for the 25-year-old [BBC Sport].
The Serbian shot-stopper was impressive for Strasbourg last campaign but with no pathway to be Chelsea’s number-one, a move away is now being finalised.
