Nicolas Jackson sends two-word Chelsea message after reaching unwanted record

Nicolas Jackson has sent Chelsea fans a message after their defeat against Man City in the Premier League on Saturday (25 January).

The Blues took a 1-0 lead against the defending champions in the third minute, with Jackson assisting Noni Madueke to provide the Blues with the perfect start.

However, they were unable to develop that as Pep Guardiola’s team fought back to win the game 3-1 after goals from Josko Gvardiol, Erling Haaland, and Phil Foden.

The defeat continued Chelsea’s dismal run of form, having only won once in their previous seven Premier League fixtures.

The result also meant that City leapfrogged Enzo Maresca’s side in the table, with the Blues sinking down to sixth.

Chelsea currently sit level on points with Bournemouth, while Aston Villa are only three points behind them.

The fixture was a particularly frustrating one for Jackson, who cut a frustrated figure throughout his performance.

It extended his run without scoring to seven games, which is his longest goal drought since joining the Blues in 2023.

The striker took to Instagram to say, “Gods plan” as he reflected on his personal performance and the result.
