Nicolas Kuhn sends two-word message to Celtic fans after Bayern heartache
Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn took to social media to express his pride after Bayern Munich knocked them out of the Champions League on Tuesday in heartbreaking circumstances (February 18).
The 25-year-old scored the opening goal in the second leg as the Scottish champions finally missed out on a place in the round of 16.
Kuhn scored Celtic’s only goal thanks to a defensive mishap from the Bayern defenders, making it 1-1 on aggregate with just over 30 minutes left to go in the game.
Brendan Rodger’s side looked set to take the German giants to extra time at the Allianz Arena until Alphonso Davies scored an equaliser in added time, sending the Bundesliga leaders through.
Kuhn also had an earlier goal ruled out in the reverse fixture at Celtic Park for offside, a decision that made former PGMOL chief and ex-FIFA official ‘sad’, even if it was the correct one.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Keith Wyness has said that Celtic are set to miss out on an ‘enormous’ £15million payday after being knocked out of Europe’s elite club competition.
