Nicolas Raskin has already told Kevin Muscat what he expects as Rangers agreement edges closer
Rangers’ search for a new manager is coming to an end after almost two weeks since Russell Martin was relieved of his duties.
Steven Gerrard looked set for a return to Rangers before pulling out of the race, and then Danny Rohl appeared to be the top contender.
However, Rohl snubbed a move to Rangers, and that has opened the door for Shanghai Port boss Kevin Muscat to become Martin’s successor at Ibrox.
Football Insider revealed on October 16 that Muscat is close to agreeing a deal with Rangers in the next 48 hours.
Muscat wasn’t the preferred option of many supporters who had their heart set on Gerrard, but the 52-year-old must use all of his experience to get the Gers challenging at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Nicolas Raskin wants to ‘feel the love’ from Kevin Muscat
While turning Rangers’ season around will be top of Muscat’s agenda, getting Nicolas Raskin back to his best will also be his priority.
Raskin was left out of some matchday squads under Martin after the 24-year-old saw a summer move out of Ibrox collapse.
Ally McCoist slammed Martin’s treatment of Raskin, claiming he needed to spill the tea on what was going on behind the scenes.
The Belgian international has seen his form suffer during his debacle with Martin; however, the all-action wants to ‘feel the love’ from the new manager.
“It’s not a secret — it’s been a tough time for me at the start of the season,” Raskin said via the Glasgow Times.
“Feeling the love of the manager is top for me. Now it’s time to go back and help my team to sort things out.”
Raskin also expressed his gratitude to the fans: “If you look at the tough time I had, the fans support me and give me so much love. So I can only try to give them everything back. I’ll go back and just try and help the team to achieve.”

Rangers could struggle to keep hold of Raskin
Football Insider revealed in August that Leeds United were interested in signing Raskin. But whilst a move never materialised, other Premier League clubs are vying for his signature.
Tottenham have placed Raskin on their transfer radar, with Spurs forming a reputation for signing Belgium players over the years, including Moussa Dembele, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.

The midfielder’s exit from Ibrox does seem inevitable, but with Muscat on his way through the door, Raskin does seem motivated to give it his all.
Ultimately, the former Standard Liege star can place himself further in the shop window by starring in the Scottish Premiership and on the European stage.
