‘Not even Henrik Larsson’ – Harry Hood delivers special message to Celtic ace

By Danny Wright

Celtic legend Harry Hood has reminded Moussa Dembele how special he actually is to the Parkhead faithful.

Hood was the last Bhoys player to score a hat-trick in an Old Firm derby against Rangers 43 years ago before Dembele smashed three past the Light Blues during a 5-1 win in September.

The 20-year-old ace has been on fire in his debut season at Celtic, finding the net 32 times in 49 appearances across all competitions.

Former striker Hood, who played for the Bhoys between 1969 and 1976, said that Dembele can be proud of his record because not even the great Henrik Larrson even managed to pull off such a feat.

“What you did that day will stay in Celtic history forever. You are part of Celtic history, you are a legend of the club,” said the 72-year-old, as quoted by Dembele on his personal Instagram account.

“You can be proud of yourself, you did what no one managed to do not even Henrik Larsson.”

Dembele has missed the last three matches due to a thigh problem in what has been an injury-riddled second half of the season for him.

Since the winter break, the former Fulham striker has only featured in eight league matches but still managed to grab eight goals, with his last coming against Inverness in early March.

The four-times France Under-21 international is likely to return to action in time for the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen in which the Bhoys can win the treble and end the domestic season undefeated.
