‘Did nothing’ – Andy Couzens slams Leeds attacker after win v Hull

Former Leeds United midfielder Andy Couzens has slammed Pablo Hernandez for his performance against Hull on Saturday, even though the attacker scoring the winning goal.

Hernandez, 32, scored a wonder goal in a 1-0 win for Leeds at Elland Road over their Yorkshire rivals, however the level of the Spaniard’s performance did not impress Couzens.

The former Swansea attacker has made 23 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring five goals and supplying five assists in the process.

But now, ex-Elland Road ace Couzens has claimed on his personal Twitter account after the game on Saturday that Hernandez did little aside from his goal.

“Got to say, Hernandez did nothing in that game apart from a touch of class for his goal,” he said.

Leeds were lucky to have walked away with all three points against Hull and manager Thomas Christiansen wasn’t afraid to admit that either in his post-match press conference.

However with another three points in the bag, the Whites firmly have their bid to reach the Championship play-offs intact as they now sit fifth in the table.

Aston Villa and Sheffield United drew with one another on Saturday evening to ensure that the Elland Road club would not drop down the table, but with a spot in the top six achieved in time for Christmas, it’s clear that Christiansen has been able to revive the season after a terrible patch of form between September and November.
