Nottingham Forest are about to make huge error as Sean Dyche contract details emerge
Sean Dyche is the man Nottingham Forest have chosen to replace Ange Postecoglou at the City Ground.
Forest sacked Postecoglou immediately after their disastrous 3-0 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday, October 18.
Dyche emerged as the favourite for the Nottingham Forest job, and the 54-year-old is closing in on his first role since being axed by Everton in January.
It was revealed on Monday, October 20, that Dyche could be announced as Nottingham Forest manager imminently after a deal was ‘verbally agreed’.
Formerly of Watford, Burnley and Everton, the Englishman has experience of keeping teams in the Premier League and the Tricky Trees need him to work his survival magic.

Sean Dyche set to sign long-term contract at Nottingham Forest
Former Everton chief scout Keith Wyness told Football Insider why Dyche would be a good appointment for Forest, but only for the short-term.
Wyness expected him to only sign a one or two year contract at the City Ground, although recent reports suggest otherwise.

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Dyche is expected to sign a long-term deal on Trentside after Roberto Mancini showed interest in the managerial vacancy.
Forest have already had to pay Postecoglou compensation after sacking him at the start of his two-year contract, and that is one reason why appointing Dyche with the long-term in mind is a huge risk.
Of course, he’s vastly experienced in the Premier League and flourishes at keeping teams in the top-flight, but if the Reds harbour ambitions of qualifying for Europe, he isn’t the right man.
Dyche did miraculously lead Burnley into the Europa League in 2018; however, he never achieved that goal at Everton.
Ultimately, the former Toffees boss should only be appointed for the short-term, as building a project around him comes with a huge risk and feels like a backward step from Nuno Espirito Santo.

What Dyche has said about Nottingham Forest
Dyche has come up against Forest on 13 occasions as a manager and claimed five victories in the process.

Speaking before his former side Everton clashed against the Reds in December 2024, Dyche reserved praise for Nuno and striker Chris Wood.
“I have been impressed by what they’ve been doing – very organised, working to plan the counter and break and defend well,” he said. “They’ve done that very well. They’ve brought to life Woody, who I know well, and the goals he’s been scoring, and they’ve turned into a very strong outfit.”
The experienced coach will reunite with Wood – who he worked with at Burnley – once he’s unveiled as manager.
