Nottingham Forest close in on international attacker deal - reliable journalist

Nottingham Forest are closing in on a deal to send Portugal winger Lica on loan to Estoril until the end of the season, according to a reliable journalist.
Caretaker manager Gary Brazil is working hard to put the finishing touches to his Nottingham Forest squad before the transfer window slams shut on Tuesday night, with several reported deals in progress.
However, fans should not expect there to be many departures from Nottingham Forest, according to Nottingham Post reporter Paul Taylor.
Taylor revealed on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon that Lica was the only expected departure on deadline day, with negotiations over a loan move making considerable progress.

Only expecting one departure from #nffc right at this moment – Lica heading to Estoril on loan for rest of season.

The 28-year-old right winger only arrived at the Championship club six months’ ago, but has failed to make an impact in the first-team squad.
The Portugal international has made only seven appearances for the club in all competitions this term, and is to be sent back to the side where he has enjoyed the most success to date.
Lica spent two years at Estoril between 2011 and 2013, where he netted 18 goals in 59 appearances, helping them qualify for the Europa League for the 2013-14 season.
Paul Taylor also confirmed that former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner was likely to remain at the club, despite talk of a last-minute move.
Football Insider verdict
A signing that perhaps highlights a miserable spell under the leadership and guidance of recently-dismissed manager Philippe Montanier, Lica has not been much success at Nottingham Forest by any stretch of the imagination. He had built a fairly decent reputation in Portugal, but simply has not fired at all since arriving in England. It is by no means all over for him at the club though, as a return to Estoril could help him re-discover his goalscoring touch; but there are likely to be a host of departures in the summer – depending on where Forest finish in the league – and Lica could well become one of them.
In other Nottingham Forest transfer news, Pajtim Kasami may be allowed to leave the club, with Lazio hoping to take him on loan from parent club Olympiakos.
