Nottingham Forest Exclusive: Marco Silva’s release clause revealed
Marco Silva’s release clause at Fulham is more than £10million as the cost of Nottingham Forest luring him is revealed, sources have told Football Insider.
Reports have stated that it would cost £7m to prise the 48-year-old away from his contract at Craven Cottage, but the actual figure is believed to be far higher.
Silva has been linked with a Fulham exit over recent months, as his concerns around the club’s business in the transfer market have become public.
The Cottagers currently sit 14th in the Premier League after picking up eight points from the first eight games of the new season.

Silva was Nottingham Forest’s main target after the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo, and is once again at the top of their shortlist following Ange Postecoglou’s departure.
Postecoglou was dismissed by owner Evangelos Marinakis less than 20 minutes after Forest were beaten 2-0 by Chelsea at the City Ground.
Sources say that the Silva’s £10m+ release clause is a big stumbling block for the Trentside outfit.
The cost of buying the Portuguese manager out of his Fulham contract could prove too much of a hurdle for Forest, and they may have to look at other options.

With a deal for Silva looking very expensive, Sean Dyche is the frontrunner to replace Postecoglou at the City Ground.
Ex-Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini and Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers are also in the running.
Despite it only being the middle of October, Nottingham Forest are already searching for their third manager of the season.
The Tricky Trees sit 18th in the Premier League table, and will be at real risk of relegation to the Championship if they get the next appointment wrong.
