Nottingham Forest explode at Morgan Gibbs-White twist after what they saw

Nottingham Forest fans are raging at Lee Carsley after Morgan Gibbs-White was left on the bench during England’s victory against Finland.

The England interim boss led his side to a comfortable 2-0 victory in the UEFA Nations League clash at Wembley thanks to a brace from Harry Kane.

However, Forest fans’ attentions were focused solely on Gibbs-White and his involvement, or lack thereof, in the game.

An 18-minute cameo appearance against the Republic of Ireland showed what the midfielder is capable of in an England shirt, leaving fans excited for his future with the Three Lions.

Despite impressing in that clash, he remained an unused substitute while Angel Gomes was chosen to make his first senior start for England.

Fans were left disappointed by Gibbs-White’s lack of involvement, with Eberechi Eze, Jarrod Bowen and Noni Madueke coming off the bench in his place.

Forest supporters had expected their star man to play a significant role during the international break after a strong start to the season at the City Ground.

He has also worked closely with Carsley before during their time with the Under-21s side, which played a part in his selection for the squad.

However, with the attacking midfielder not having played a single minute against Finland, Forest supporters have taken to social media to express their anger.
