Nottingham Forest fans: Gibbs-White ‘out for the season’ in ‘massive’ blow
Nottingham Forest fans are fearing the worst after Morgan Gibbs-White limped off the pitch during their clash v Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side pulled off an eye-catching result away from home, taking a point away following a 1-1 draw after goals from Chris Wood and Noni Maueke.
Despite taking an unexpected point from the game, the travelling fans’ attentions were drawn to their star man who suffered what many fear could be a serious injury.
Gibbs-White was withdrawn in the 76th minute after a collision with Malo Gusto as the Chelsea defender landed a strong challenge to block his shot.
He was able to walk off the pitch, which was seen by many as a good sign, but fans are fearing a worst-case scenario given his importance to the team.
Reports have since claimed the 24-year-old will have a scan on Monday morning to assess the extent of the injury before joining up with the England squad.
However, supporters have insisted his absence would be a “massive” blow to their season as they speculate over the extent of the blow.

Gibbs-White’s inclusion in Lee Carsley’s squad for the second time was a sign of just how good he has been since arriving at the City Ground.
The midfielder will be disappointed if he is forced to miss what would be his second training camp with the senior national team – but fans are fearing a fate far worse.
Taking to social media in reaction to his withdrawal, many have suggested he could spend an extended period on the sidelines and are fearing the worst.
