Nottingham Forest fans rage as latest footage of Giovanni Reyna VAR controversy drops

Nottingham Forest fans have raged after Giovanni Reyna was denied a penalty in their 2-0 loss to Everton on Sunday (21 April).

The American winger went down in the box under a challenge from Ashley Young early on in the clash at Goodison Park with the scoreline at 0-0.

VAR checked the incident in the Premier League meeting on Merseyside, but decided against awarding the visitors a spot-kick.

The Toffees went 1-0 up through Idrissa Gueye shortly after, with Forest later denied two more penalties for a Young handball and a challenge from the Toffees defender on Callum Hudson-Odoi.

It was a huge clash for both clubs in their aim to climb the Premier League table and push away from the relegation zone.

An early penalty for the visitors could have changed the outcome of the match entirely, with many Forest fans not happy at all with the decision, with Dwight McNeil adding a second goal to clinch a home win.
