Nottingham Forest fans react to confirmed Mark Warburton appointment

By Danny Wright

Nottingham Forest fans are delighted that Mark Warburton is their new permanent manager.

The club announced on Tuesday that the 54-year-old will take charge of his first game in a fierce East Midlands derby against Derby at the City Ground on Saturday.

The Rams also announced that Gary Rowett is the new boss at Pride Park on the same day.

Fans are happy that the ex-Rangers boss has come in to replace interim manager Gary Brazil, who has struggled to get results out of the team in recent weeks.

The 1-0 reverse to local rivals, and fellow strugglers, Burton Albion on Saturday proved to be the last straw for many supporters, who believed that Brazil was not good enough to keep them in the Championship.

Warburton will now become the third manager of the season for the Reds after owner Fawaz Al Hasawi sacked Philippe Montanier in January.

This promoted Brazil to caretaker manager and after a good run of results in his first few games he was ultimately given the job until the end of the season, only for the club t have a change of heart.

Fans are now optimistic about their survival chances after Tuesday’s news.
