Nottingham Forest fans: Sangare ‘will be gone’ after what he did vs Wolves

Nottingham Forest fans were less than impressed with midfielder Ibrahim Sangare’s performance in their 1-1 draw with Wolves on Saturday.

Sangare, 26, was substituted in the 58th minute, replaced by Ryan Yates after struggling to control the game at the City Ground.

The Ivorian central-midfielder’s lack of pace left him looking out of place in their frantic draw as Wolves man Mauro Lemina ran rings around him.

He eventually received the first yellow card of the game in the 40th minute for a cynical foul on Brazillian forward Matheus Cunha.

Fortunately for Forest, his performance didn’t cost them the game, earning a point thanks to a 10th-minute goal from Chris Wood.

Their lead didn’t last long, Wolves winger Jean-Rincer Bellegarde equalised just two minutes later, beating Matz Sels in the Forest goal with a marvelous long-range effort.

Sangare faces an uphill battle to win Nottingham Forest fans over

Sangare has only managed to make 21 appearances for Nottingham Forest since joining the club and is yet to score or provide an assist for the club.

With Danilo facing an extended stay on the sidelines after breaking his ankle, Sangare may be given more first-team opportunities but fans are unconvinced.
