Nottingham Forest fans stunned by what Elliot Anderson did v Wolves

Nottingham Forest fans were wowed by Elliot Anderson’s performance in the Premier League draw against Wolves at the City Ground.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side recorded a frustrating 1-1 draw at home after what they thought was a late winner was ruled out by VAR.

There was also controversy surrounding two hand-ball decisions not given – one for each team – which left both managers feeling hard done by after the game.

However, it was Anderson who stole the show in the fans’ eyes after he turned in an impressive display in the middle of the park alongside Ibrahim Sangare.

The midfielder joined from Newcastle United on 30 June as both clubs looked to navigate potential profit and sustainability issues – and Forest look to have gotten the better end of the deal.

Supporters have been stunned by his ability since his first appearance in pre-season, and now three games into the Premier League season, they are still amazed.

Sangare was slammed by fans after his display in the 1-1 draw, which highlighted Anderson’s impressive performance given the team’s frustrating afternoon.

Despite the initial controversy surrounding the reported £35million transfer fee involved in his move from Newcastle, he is already proving to be worth every penny.

Fans flocked to social media following the game to heap praise on the midfielder as he was labelled “absolutely fantastic” and “the signing of the season”.
