Nottingham Forest to consider ‘big offer’ for Dan Ndoye as Roma line up summer transfer

Nottingham Forest are reluctant to sell winger Dan Ndoye this summer despite a difficult first season in the Premier League, sources have told Football Insider.

The Reds are hoping to see much more from the 25-year-old next term, but strong interest in Italy is building once again, with Roma keen to strike a deal for him this summer.

Forest are not keen to offload the wideman at the moment, and sources have indicated that it will take a “big offer” from the Italian giants for them to even consider letting him go.

Ndoye has endured injury problems after moving to the City Ground from Bologna last year, but the interest from Italy is not expected to die down any time soon.

Forest want to strengthen their squad for Vitor Pereira once again this summer, and the Swiss international is still seen as a player who has plenty to give.

Nottingham Forest ready to resist Dan Ndoye approaches

Forest are potentially facing a summer of significant upheaval within their squad, as several of their key players have attracted strong interest from elsewhere.

Elliot Anderson, Morgan Gibbs-White and Murillo have all been heavily linked with moves to the Premier League’s elite, and all three would command huge fees if Forest were unable to keep them.

However, the East Midlands outfit have little intention of allowing Ndoye to join the contingent of potential outgoing stars, as they are keen to give him time to continue to settle in English football.

They are planning to reject any approaches for the wideman this summer, unless an offer comes their way that really makes it worthwhile to sell.

Ndoye was an expensive purchase for Forest when they shelled out £34million to bring him to England last summer, and they haven’t given up hope on him just yet.

He has managed just one goal and one assist from 24 appearances in his debut campaign, but there is hope that he could be far more productive under Pereira’s guidance next term.

Evangelos Marinakis told to seek stability

Former Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness recently told Football Insider that Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis must seek stability at the club if they are to progress next term.

The Reds are desperate to avoid another relegation battle in 2026-27, and Wyness feels that the owner holds the key to that by establishing more continuity at all levels of the club.

He has called for the managerial turnover of this year to be stopped as soon as possible, and part of that stability will also come in the form of the playing squad.

Forest may have the futures of some of their key players effectively taken out of their hands this summer, but it is clear that they have little desire to fully overhaul their group at the moment.
