Arnaud Kalimuendo's Nottingham Forest future couldn't be clearer as sporting director speaks out
Nottingham Forest supporters are desperate to know what the future holds for exciting attacker Arnaud Kalimuendo.
The 24-year-old Frenchman spent the second half of last season on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he notched six goals and an assist in 19 games.
He has since returned to the City Ground, and under Oliver Glasner, there is a growing hope that he can remain at the club for the 2026-27 campaign.
During his final two seasons at Rennes, Kalimuendo netted 33 goals in 75 appearances, triggering a whole of interest from clubs around Europe.
Glasner has refused to rule out an exit in coming weeks, but stated that as long as he impresses in pre-season, he has a chance of winning minutes next term.
In short, Kalimuendo has a very uncertain future, or at least he did until Frankfurt's sporting director, Markus Krosche, spoke out earlier this week.

The Bundesliga club are clearly huge admirers of the player, who has made just 14 appearances for the Reds since his £26million move in 2025.
Speaking during the week, transcribed by BILD, Frankfurt's sporting director was quizzed about a potential move for the centre-forward.
Krosche said: "We aren’t in talks with anyone at the moment. Kali is a Nottingham player; that’s the situation. There’s nothing more to say about it."
This would certainly suggest that Kalimuendo is more likely to stay than leave the City Ground this summer, but there is plenty of time left for twists and turns in the market.
Chris Wood will have his minutes managed, with Igor Jesus taking centre point during pre-season, and Taiwo Awoniyi being appreciated by the new boss.
Why Oliver Glasner would be foolish to sell Kalimuendo
Kalimuendo is, undoubtedly, a talented player, just one that came in during a very tough period under Sean Dyche.
His talents just weren't appreciated, but as it was revealed earlier this week, Glasner may have reasons to depend on him moving forward.
Although Wood featured heavily at the World Cup, those behind the scenes are understanding that the striker will finish his career with knee issues.
He missed much of the 2025-26 campaign due to injury, and that problem is likely to follow him until he hangs up his boots. That is exactly why Kalimuendo is needed.
