Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White has been caught in a whirlwind after being left out of the original England squad.

Thomas Tuchel created a media storm with his decision, with no other player scoring more Premier League goals than him in 2026.

Marcus Rashford, Rio Ngumoha and Myles Lewis-Skelly were all picked ahead of him, but the biggest kicker was the selection of Eberechi Eze.

The Arsenal attacker has barely featured at the Emirates Stadium, with his only start coming against Ipswich Town in the Carabao Cup.

Emotions finally settled down when Gibbs-White replaced an injured Cole Palmer for the coming internationals, but Tuchel is still not a liked figure at the City Ground.

Many will argue that the 26-year-old deserved to be part of the Three Lions' 2026 World Cup squad, but he was made to watch from home instead.
