Nottingham Forest are plotting a move to sign Crystal Palace star Daniel Munoz before the window closes, sources have told Football Insider.

The 30-year-old was a revelation under Oliver Glasner at Selhurst Park, and played a crucial role in his side winning the FA Cup, Community Shield and Conference League.

Nottingham Forest have now become the latest club to show an interest in the right-wing-back, with both Everton and Tottenham also among his admirers.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Glasner is a "huge fan" of Munoz and will be key to any deal for the Crystal Palace star.

A fee of around £25million is expected to be enough to prise Munoz away from Selhurst Park this summer, and that fee is seen as affordable by the interested clubs.

Pierre Sage, however, insisted that the Colombia international remains part of his plans for the new season, and he started in Palace's opening-day defear against Everton.

Could Crystal Palace accept offers for Daniel Munoz?

Football Insider revealed on 14 August that Palace will demand up to £25million for Munoz but have not ruled out his exit in the closing stages of the transfer window.

After the Eagles completed the signings of Oscar Mingueza and Anan Khalaili this summer, the Colombia international could be allowed to move on, placing clubs on alert.

Sources Glasner is keen to reunite with his former star given the strong relationship they forged at Crystal Palace, as he aims to strengthen his Nottingham Forest squad.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Munoz would tick a lot of boxes for a lot of clubs because he's Premier League proven.

"There's interest from Nottingham Forest, with Oliver Glasner now being at the City Ground, and we know he's a huge fan of Munoz having worked with him at Palace.

"If he is made available by Crystal Palace in the closing stages of the window, then that could be something Nottingham Forest look to explore.

"I'm sure there'll be interest in Munoz because of what he's done for Crystal Palace in the Premier League, because he has been so impressive since he joined them."

Which other clubs are interested in signing Munoz?

Nottingham Forest are far from the only club to be linked with a move for Munoz this summer, with his potential availability having placed a number of Premier League clubs on alert.

Everton are also big admirers of the full-back as David Moyes aims to improve in the position, while Tottenham have been keeping a close eye on his situation.

However, Football Insider revealed that while Tottenham are interested in signing Munoz, he may have second thoughts about making a move to North London.

Should he make the move, he would not be guarunteed minutes in the starting XI, with Pedro Porro seen as the first-choice in his position under Roberto De Zerbi.

Instead, he would be forced to become a backup or rotation option, but Munoz would prefer to play every week as he has done since he joined Palace in 2024.
