Oliver Glasner finally got his wish as Ousmane Diomande signed across the dotted line at Nottingham Forest last week.

Arriving on a £34million deal, the centre-back signifies exactly what the new manager is trying to instill at the City Ground this summer.

But with Elliot Anderson moving to Manchester City earlier in the window, supporters expected far more business to be done along the River Trent.

Xaver Schlager and Steven Benda have been signed on free transfers, while the only other signing, Gustavo Sa, has gone on loan to Olympiacos.

Links continue to swirl around Forest, but very little is materialising, and there is just three days until the 2026-27 Premier League campaign kicks off.

Of course, there is a little longer until the summer transfer window slams shut, but that isn't helping to ease the tension amongst Forest fans.

Nottingham Forest's summer transfer plans revealed

Losing Morgan Gibbs-White would be a major blow at this point in the summer, and Bayern Munich are understood to be one of the teams keen.

But the latest update from the Daily Mail (17 August) is all about potential incomings, with Glasner wanting to strengthen rather than sell again.

There are three key positions being targeted - centre-forward, central midfield and right-wing back - and they should be "expected" before the window closes.

Evangelos Marinakis has proven that he's not to be messed with in the market, though, so there is unlikely to be a rush on getting these deals done.

Clubs all across Europe are aware of the money burning in the owner's pocket, though, with Anderson's move raising £116m.

Who else could Oliver Glasner sign?

There has not been a whole lot of business at the City Ground. Taiwo Awoniyi's move to Coventry City is just one of a few exits.

Football Insider understands that AC Milan would accept £15m for Youssouf Fofana, but a concrete move is yet to be made.

Tottenham Hotspur's Lucas Bergvall is also a trending name in Nottingham, though Newcastle United are also keeping tabs.

As for the centre-forward spot, Bryan King has tipped the Reds to make a move for Aston Villa's Tammy Abraham, who is playing second-fiddle at Villa Park.
