Nottingham Forest’s Evangelos Marinakis breaks silence after taking legal action

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has taken to social media to congratulate everyone at the club after Nuno Espirito Santo’s and Chris Woods’ recent awards.

Espirito Santo, 50, and Chris Wood, 32, were named Premier League Manager of the Month and Player of the Month after their impressive form in October.

Forest currently sit in third, above the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, and Aston Villa in the race for Champions League qualification at the season’s end.

Woods has been a driving force for Forest, scoring six goals across five consecutive games in October, taking his Premier League tally up to eight.

It’s been a real team effort for the club, however, with the second-best defensive record in the division, Forest have earned their place amongst the big boys.

Evangelos Marinakis praises everyone at Nottingham Forest as remarkable form continues

Marinakis, 57, known for his bold approach, is currently suing a rival for defamation, alleging a “smear campaign” was launched against him.

Still, he took time out of his busy schedule to congratulate everyone involved at the club, taking to Instagram to acknowledge all of their hard work.

It’s been a good week for Marinakis, not only has he seen two members of his club win individual awards, he’s managed to lure Edu away from Arsenal to take charge of his multi-club group.

Things are looking up at Forest both on and off the pitch but for now, attention will turn to their Premier League clash with Newcastle on Sunday (November 10).
