Leeds United are now priced at 10/1 to sign Leicester forward Leonardo Ulloa, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
The West Midlands club are 5/2 favourites to seal a January swoop for the ex-Brighton striker while Sunderland (12/1) are also in the running.
This comes after Thomas Christiansen dropped a huge hint that he would look to sign up a new centre-forward during the January transfer window with summer signings Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Jay-Roy Grot not meeting expectations at Elland Road.
Leeds have struggled to find a consistent goalscorer ever since Chris Wood left for Burnley in the summer for £15million and rather reinvesting that one a single prolific striker, the Yorkshire club took the decision to spread the cash around the squad.
Ulloa has made just six appearances in all competitions for Leicester this season.
The Argentine powerhouse, known for his physicality and hold-up play, appears to be well down the pecking order at the King Power with Jamie Vardy, Kelechi Iheanacho, Islam Slimani and Shinji Okazaki all seeming to be above him in Claude Puel’s plans.
In other Leeds United news, this league-leading defender has made a huge transfer admission after he was lined up by the Whites.
