Odds slashed: Luis Enrique to Liverpool increasingly likely to happen amid latest manager twist
Luis Enrique has seen his odds slashed to become the next Liverpool manager.
Arne Slot has been under huge pressure at the Reds in recent weeks, with there being a big possibility that the club does not qualify for the Champions League this season.
As a result, Liverpool could soon find themselves on the hunt for a new manager, with Enrique being heavily tipped for the role.
One UK bookmaker now has the manager as 4/1 to take over at Anfield, with Oddschecker on 27 February confirming that these odds have been slashed.

Luis Enrique contract situation remains unresolved at PSG
A potential opening for Liverpool if they look to appoint Enrique is the ongoing saga regarding his contract at PSG.
The 55-year-old is yet to renew his deal, with his contract set to expire in 2027.
As a result, he has just over a year left on his deal, which could prompt the manager to look at adventures elsewhere.
However, earlier this month, he was quick to claim that he was happy in the French capital amid rumours he could depart.

Who else is linked with the Liverpool job?
As it stands, the current favourite is Xabi Alonso at 2/5 odds.
The former Liverpool star has been out of work since early 2026, when he departed Real Madrid after a tricky start to his reign.
Following this, Jurgen Klopp and Andoni Iraola both remain in contention at 9/1.
Klopp has not returned to the dugout since he departed Liverpool in 2024, instead becoming the Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull GmbH.
In comparison, Andoni has proven to be one of the most promising managers in the Premier League, as he continues to guide Bournemouth to a solid mid-table position in the division.

A potential outsider is Oliver Glasner at 10/1. The Crystal Palace manager is viewed as one of the best managers in the country after he guided the club to an FA Cup and Community Shield over the past year.
However, despite hi, announcing that he will leave Selhurst Park at the end of the campaign, his stock has plummeted, after a recent run of bad form at the club.
