Odds slashed on next Premier League manager being sacked as ‘multiple sources concede it’s over’

The Premier League could be about to see another manager lose their job as the busy winter schedule gets underway.

There have been a spate of sackings in the top-flight already this season, owing to poor form and disagreements behind the scenes at certain clubs.

Nuno Espirito Santo was the first to lose his job in 2025-26 after he was sacked as Nottingham Forest boss in September, while his replacement Ange Postecoglou lasted just over a month before he met the same fate.

Nuno has taken over at West Ham, who relieved Graham Potter of his duties in September too, while Vitor Pereira is the latest to have left after being sacked as Wolves boss on 2 November.

Numerous other sides are looking at a potential change of manager soon, and one incumbent boss could soon be sacked as the odds stack up against him staying in charge.

Daniel Farke increasingly likely to be next manager sacked amid Leeds update

Daniel Farke guided Leeds back to the Premier League at the second time of asking last season, but their form has been inconsistent and they are showing signs of weakness as they battle to stay up.

The Whites currently sit 18th in the top-flight table, level on points with 17th-placed West Ham, ahead of a tough test against Chelsea at Elland Road on Wednesday (3 December).

Football Insider exclusively revealed on 28 November that Leeds will give Farke two games to save his job, and the first of those resulted in a 3-2 defeat to Man City last time out.

According to one major bookmaker, his price has been reduced to being the 4/9 favourite of all Premier League managers to be sacked next, ahead of Tottenham’s Thomas Frank at 4/1 and Liverpool’s Arne Slot at 8/1.

“Multiple sources” at Leeds admit that Farke’s fate is in the balance [The Guardian], with these next few games believed to be vital in him keeping his job.

Who could Leeds hire next?

Farke is not the most popular figure in West Yorkshire right now, and it certainly would not come as a shock to see him relieved of his duties if they lose heavily to Chelsea on Wednesday night.

If he does depart, then the attention will turn to who Leeds could appoint as their new boss as they aim to avoid an immediate relegation, with some candidates already revealed.

Football Insider’s sources have stated that Leeds are unlikely to hire Postecoglou following his ill-fated spell at Forest, but he will be someone they consider if Farke is sacked.

Leeds are also keeping tabs on Brendan Rodgers’ availability following his Celtic exit, and he may well be installed as one of the favourites for the role if it is vacated soon.
