Odds slashed: Pep Guardiola could be next Premier League manager to leave after overnight twist
Pep Guardiola has been the latest big-name Premier League manager to struggle to attain his sky-high standards at Man City in recent weeks.
The Citizens have been at the end of numerous poor results, with Man City’s 3-1 defeat to Bodo/Glimt on Tuesday one of the biggest upsets in Champions League history.
On top of this, the Premier League title looks increasingly out of Guardiola’s reach as the campaign looks set to be a disappointment for Man City.
Now, after the recent set of poor results, Guardiola is seen as increasingly likely to be the next Premier League manager to leave.
Pep Guardiola third-favourite to depart next in the Premier League
Guardiola has consistently been linked away from the Etihad Stadium this season.
The manager has now been at Man City for almost 10 years, where he oversaw a golden era at the club.
However, recent campaigns have been less fruitful, and the recent set of results has only increased the rumours that he could depart.
Now, one bookmaker has Guardiola as the third-favourite to depart next at 5/1 following overnight developments.
These odds have collapsed in recent days, with Guardiola previously not even in the top six favourites to leave next in the Premier League at the start of the week.
Who is the current favourite to depart next in the Premier League?
As it stands, Thomas Frank is the favourite to get the book next in the Premier League.
The Tottenham boss is 1/1 to depart, with the former Brentford manager not enjoying a successful reign to date.
Despite a good start, the Dane has struggled to pick up results in the Premier League, with Spurs 14th in the table.
Following this is Oliver Glasner at 9/4. The Palace boss has been unable to turn around the Eagles’ form in the new year, with a defeat to Macclesfield in the FA Cup being one of the biggest shocks in the competition ever.

Potential outsiders include Nuno Espirito Santo and Arne Slot at 8/1 and 10/1.
Despite being at opposite ends of the table, both managers are vastly underperforming their expectations at present at both West Ham and Liverpool.
However, with plenty of the season to go, it remains to be seen who, if anyone, will be given the boot in the Premier League this campaign.
