Official announcement reveals double Tottenham blow after major boost v Swansea

Tottenham have revealed that they have suffered a double injury blow after confirming their line up for their clash against Swansea.
Spurs announced their starting XI and substitutes for Tuesday’s clash via their official Twitter account, with Mauricio Pochettino choosing to make four changes from the side which hammered Southampton 5-2 on Boxing Day.

Serge Aurier, Harry Kane, Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele all found themselves dropped from the first team line up, with the latter pair both missing completely from the match day squad of 18.
Shortly after revealing the line up, Spurs confirmed via their Twitter account both Rose and Dembele were suffering from injury, hence their absence from the squad, with the left back nursing a knee problem and the Belgian enforcer an issue in his hip, although also delivered the major boost that Victor Wanyama was back among the squad for the first time since August.

Both Rose and Dembele have missed out on first team action through injury this season, the England international recovering from a serious knee injury suffered at the start of 2017 which kept him out for over eight months before returning, with nine appearances under his belt so far.
Meanwhile the midfielder was missing as a result of an ankle injury which ruled him out for no less than six games between September and October, but has still managed to make 20 appearances for the club this season.
