Omar Marmoush sends ‘iconic’ first Man City message after move completed
Omar Marmoush has admitted it’s an “absolute dream come true” to play for Man City after securing a move to the current Premier League champions.
The 25-year-old has joined Pep Guardiola’s side from German club Eintracht Frankfurt for a reported fee of £59million, signing a deal until June 2029.
Marmoush is City’s third signing of the January transfer window, joining after young centre-back pairing Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov.
City are far and away the highest spenders in the Premier League this winter, splashing a combined £123million on the three players.
Omar Marmoush wants to ‘make history’ after joining Man City in blockbuster deal
The Egyptian forward had been on fire in Germany before making the move to Man City, starting 24 of his 26 games across all competitions, scoring 20 goals, and providing 14 assists in his 2070 minutes of action.
Marmoush took to Instagram to address his new fans, saying: “Man City, I’m here & I’m ready.
It’s an absolute dream come true to join such an iconic team. Let’s make history together.”

Marmoush could be set to make his debut over the weekend as the current champions prepare for a visit from Chelsea on Saturday (January 25) in what could be a crucial game for both club’s Champions League ambitions.
Guardiola’s attention will then be on the European competition, knowing anything less than a win over Club Brugge could see them knocked out at the new league phase.
