Opponents ‘terrified’ by Harry Kane development at Tottenham – expert

Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son have had the shackles taken off at Tottenham.

That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Kane and Son combined to score yet again against Frankfurt on Wednesday (12 October).

The duo have now combined to score 50 goals in all competitions and 43 goals in the Premier League, more than any other pair.

McLeish insists Antonio Conte was right to take the shackles off both players after another impressive performance.

“Sometimes Tottenham’s attackers are guilty of sitting back too deep, they aren’t high enough up the pitch,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“The thing is, when they do get up the right end they are magnificent. That gets the best out of Kulusevski and Richarlison.

“Kane and Son speak for themselves and when you see the way they played against Frankfurt it makes you wonder why they ever play in that deeper role.

“Kane has maintained his form but Son hasn’t been at it this season, then he finds himself further forward and he is scoring goals, that’s what he does.

“It looks like Conte has taken the shackles off them and it resulted in great goals, Son’s especially. Any defender playing against that Tottenham attack will be terrified, you know you are in for a hard afternoon.”

Kane has scored nine goals in 10 Premier League games this season.

Son has three league goals in the same amount of games.
