‘Unhappy’ Origi plotting Liverpool exit after latest reveal – pundit
Divock Origi will not be happy with his bit-part role at Liverpool, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker delivered his verdict after Origi scored his second goal in four days during Liverpool’s 2-1 win over AC Milan at San Siro.
The striker was handed a rare start after scoring a late winner after coming off the bench in the 1-0 victory over Wolves at Molineux at the weekend (4 December).
That was his 100th substitute appearance for the Reds and he marked it with his 39th goal.
As quoted by the BBC (4 December), Jurgen Klopp hailed Origi as a “legend” after the win over Wolves.
After finding the net against AC Milan the 26-year-old now has five goals and two assists in 10 games across all competitions this term, including four starts.
“I don’t think he’s happy,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“But he probably looks at and thinks ‘Can I do any better than being a sub at Liverpool’.
“No offence to him but when he starts he doesn’t look like the same player who comes off the bench. He’s probably happy to be at the club and come on when needed.
“Liverpool deserved the win against Wolves. They stuck in there and got the result they needed.”

Origi signed an undisclosed “long-term deal” with Liverpool in the summer of 2019.
He was rewarded after scoring the second goal in the 2-0 win over Tottenham in the 2018-19 Champions League final after coming off the bench.
