The Dundee United star isn’t someone who Celtic will be looking at as being ready for first-team football straight away, but he would bolster the squad depth and could become a star in the future.
There are clubs in England looking at Stirton who are looking to lure him away from Scotland, but Celtic may offer him the chance to remain in Scotland.
The teenager has proven he is capable of playing in the top flight as he scored once for Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership this season before making his move to Montrose.

Celtic want to replace Kyogo Furuhashi
The Hoops sold Kyogo Furuhashi during the January transfer window and failed to replace him at that time, but Brendan Rodgers is hoping to fill the hole he left in the squad during the upcoming summer window.
Celtic still have the £10million from that sale, and they could look to reinvest some of that via purchasing Stirton.
Celtic fans have urged the club to financially support Rodgers this summer to ensure he doesn’t become disheartened at the club.

Brendan Rodgers wants a new striker
Football Insider revealed that Rodgers has made signing a striker the priority for the club during the summer transfer window, with this being the main area that he wants to strengthen.
The club are hoping to lure in an ‘A-list striker’ to bolster Rodgers’ options at the top end of the pitch to help boost their chances in Europe as well as in Scotland.
Football Insider reported that Celtic have begun working on a deal to sign Brondby striker Mathias Kvistgaarden in the summer.
