Paratici is '100%' telling fibs at Tottenham after Conte transfer reveal - pundit
Kevin Phillips has insisted Antonio Conte will have already discussed potential transfers with the Tottenham hierarchy ahead of January.
The former Sunderland striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 52-year-old would “earmark two or three players” to sign in the winter window.
As quoted by the Daily Mail (November 3rd), managing director Fabio Paratici stated he and Conte have not discussed potential transfers yet.
The former Juventus sporting director insisted he and the new manager have “trust in the squad”.
However, Football Insider has already revealed Conte has told Spurs chiefs he is keen on a reunion with Inter Milan defender Stefan de Vrij.
When asked if Paratici was sharing the whole story about Tottenham’s transfer pursuits, Phillips told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “We’re not daft.

“I’m sure when you get someone in who has the calibre of Conte, he will have said ‘this is what I want, what I demand, and what I expect’.
“Him, Levy, and Paratici would have 100% talked about transfer targets. There’s no doubt that Nuno would have put a list in ahead of January. Maybe Conte has had a look at that list to see if there is anything he likes.
“You can’t say that they haven’t talked about transfers. The squad is decent, but it’s not fantastic. They do need to add to it in order to challenge for European football.
“I’d be very surprised if Conte doesn’t earmark two or three players for January.”
Conte was appointed on Tuesday following the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo.
The former Chelsea boss takes charge in the Premier League this weekend as Spurs travel to Everton.
