'A passenger', 'Stay where you are' – Celtic fans fume at returning star for Europa clash

Celtic supporters have taken to social media to voice their opinion on news that Stuart Armstrong is set to return after six weeks out injured.
The Hoops midfielder had a hernia operation just after the goal less draw against Rangers in December, but the Daily Record are reporting that the 25-year-old is set to return to first-team training ahead of the Europa League last 32 clash with Zenit.
However, the news of the midfield mainstay’s return doesn’t seem to have gone down that well, with one exclaiming “this is meant to be news?”.
Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to the news that Armstrong is set to return:

However, a rare supporter seemed to be looking forward to the return of the former Dundee United player to the first-team.

The reason for the criticism could well be that Armstrong has failed to hit the heights of last season, where he scored 17 goals and was deservedly nominated for Scottish player of the year.
This season so far he has only scored three goals, and he was particularly poor in the recent Old Firm derby against Rangers.
Despite the criticism from supporters, Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers is a fan of the Scotland international, and with the Hoops lengthy injury list he will be glad to have the player back in the squad.
