Paul Ince reveals two solutions to Man United’s Rasmus Hojlund dilemma: ‘People don’t understand’
Rasmus Hojlund has been on the end of heavy criticism this season, and former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince has revealed what Ruben Amorim must do to get the best out of him.
The Dane was part of the Red Devils side that fell to the club’s worst ever Premier League finish, ending the campaign down in 15th with just 42 points.
There was further misery for United, who were beaten 1-0 by Tottenham in the Europa League final, ending the season without a trophy.
Despite being under heavy pressure due to the club’s domestic form, Amorim is expected to remain at Man United over the summer and into next season.

Ince: ‘Hojlund not ready’
Hojlund made the move to Old Trafford as a 20-year-old, joining from Atalanta for £72million, but has failed to live up to his price tag.
This season, the forward ended up starting the majority of games despite his poor form, as injuries and a lack of other options forced Amorim’s hand.
Speaking on talkSPORT (29 May), former United midfielder Ince revealed that he sympathises with the 22-year-old and believes more can be done to help his career, saying: “I feel sorry for Hojlund, because he’s not ready yet to play for Manchester United, he’s been thrown in the deep end. He needs that senior striker to take that weight off of him.
“I wouldn’t be adverse to him going on loan for six months, to score goals, find his feet, and get a bit of confidence. People don’t understand that when you play for Manchester United, it’s about the mentality and dealing with the expectations.”
Hojlund’s time may be up
Football Insider Verdict
While he may benefit from a loan move, or a spell out of the starting lineup, Hojlund looks set to leave Man United permanently this summer.
The Denmark international only managed four Premier League goals this season, a dismal return for a player who featured 32 times.

It has been suggested that senior figures at Man United have lost patience with Hojlund, not only because of his goalscoring record, but also his “lazy” work rate.
We can often see the young attacker flinging his arms in the air when he doesn’t receive the ball, and berating his teammates for not passing.
As Amorim continues to try and change the mentality around Old Trafford, Hojlund’s questionable attitude may be detrimental.
The Portuguese manager will not want to keep those around who affect the mood of the dressing room, meaning the striker could be set for a move away.
