
Paul Onuachu sends Southampton message after dramatic twist
Paul Onuachu has sent a message to Southampton following their dramatic late winner against Ipswich Town on Saturday (1 February).
The Saints picked up a crucial three points to aid their fight against relegation by defeating the Tractor Boys 2-1 at Portman Road.
It marked only their second win of the season but helped to keep their hopes of survival alive in the Premier League.
Southampton remain bottom of the league after a dismal first half of the campaign, with the club now seven points behind Ipswich.
However, they are a further 10 points away from safety, which they will attempt to cut down throughout the remainder of the season.
Paul Onuachu sends Southampton fans a message
Onuachu scored only his second goal of the season to help Southampton win the game, and he took to Instagram to celebrate.
The 30-year-old said, “Keep calm and trust the process” as he looks ahead to what’s next for the team.
The Saints will be back in action on Saturday (8 February) against Burnley in the FA Cup before facing Bournemouth in the Premier League on 15 February.

Onuachu has now scored two goals in his last three appearances after starting consecutive games for team.
The Nigeria international has only featured 14 times this season for the Saints but has played an important part of the squad post-Christmas.
