Paul Pogba sends cryptic message amid sensational Man United news

Paul Pogba has taken to social media to send a cryptic message regarding his future after being linked with a sensational return to Man United by former striker Louis Saha.

The 31-year-old left Italian giants Juventus last month and is set on a return to football in March after his four-year doping bad was reduced to 18 months by the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport)

Juventus signed Pogba on a free following his release from Man United in 2022 but the central midfielder only made 12 appearances during his second stint at the Serie A club.

Pogba hasn’t played a game of competitive football since September 2023 but has been linked with moves to Saudi Arabia, the MLS, and French giants Marseille.

Paul Pogba backed to make Man United return after a stuttering start from Ruben Amorim

Ruben Amorim hasn’t enjoyed much of a ‘new manager bounce’ since becoming Man United manager, winning three, drawing one, and losing two of his six games in charge.

Former Man United striker Louis Saha suggested Pogba could be set for a sensational third spell at the Premier League club, at least temporarily, telling Casino Utan Spelpaus: “I’ve heard some rumours that Paul Pogba will be offered the opportunity to come back and train with Man Utd in the New Year, and I think that would be a great opportunity for Paul.

“‘I think the United squad lacks power in the midfield, and we’re missing a skillful player that can play box-to-box, so he would be a good addition because he’s a different profile of player to what United have.”

Given Pogba’s relationship with the Man United fans, a return to the club that splashed a record £89million to secure his signature back in 2016 is unlikely to be received well by many.

The World Cup winner took to Instagram to tease his return, whether it’s a return to Man United or not remains a mystery.

United’s 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the previous round of Premier League fixtures leaves them down in 13th with 19 points from their 15 games.

Amorim’s side take on bitter rivals Man City on Sunday (December 15) with both sides in desperate need of a win.
