Pep Guardiola handed double fitness boost ahead of Man City vs Everton
Man City may have been given yet more chance of beating Everton as Pep Guardiola prepares for the return of the Premier League.
Man City beat Brentford 1-0 before the international break, with the only goal coming from Erling Haaland, a result which left the Citizens fifth in the league standings after seven games.
Kevin Schade was rightfully booked for protesting a decision during the clash at the Gtech Community Stadium, but it was a frustrating 90 minutes for the Bees.
Guardiola has been without multiple players for the trip, including Abdukodir Khusanov, while Rodri was forced off after just 22 minutes. Now, new information has been provided ahead of facing the Toffees.

Omar Marmoush and Rayan Ait-Nouri updates emerge
Taking to X (16 October), Jack Gaughan wrote: “[Omar] Marmoush and [Rayan] Ait-Nouri are back in full training for Man City. Rodri’s not taking part in today’s group session.”
Marmoush’s inclusion would be huge against the Toffees, given that the Egyptian has been sidelined since the last international break, missing key matches against Napoli, Arsenal, and Monaco.
Ait-Nouri, on the other hand, has been sidelined for even longer, having been missing since the end of August. That has given Nico O’Reilly a chance to shine enough for an England call-up.
Pep Guardiola will not reunite with Jack Grealish
Jack Grealish has been a standout player since joining on loan from the Citizens this summer, but he will not be in the travelling squad when the Toffees visit on Saturday, 18 October.
However, Grealish will not be allowed to face Man City due to Premier League rules. It is extremely likely that he will join the squad for their trip to Manchester, though.
His absence will certainly be another boost for Guardiola and his squad, with the winger’s trickery and form only causing issues for every Premier League team so far this season.
Iliman Ndiaye will still be one to watch, but with Ait-Nouri returning from fitness, the Citizens will have more than enough talent in the squad to deal with Moyes’ biggest threats.
