Pep Guardiola tipped to explode by Phillips after Man City title reveal – ‘he knows’
Kevin Phillips is adamant Man City will win all of their remaining Premier League fixtures.
The 2000 European Golden Shoe winner, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed Pep Guardiola “ups his game” at this stage of the season and predicted his players will “follow suit.’
On Saturday, Liverpool beat Man City in the semi-final of the FA Cup.
The result came just six days after the two sides shared a 2-2 draw at the Etihad to leave the Premier League title in City’s hands.
Speaking to club media after Saturday’s loss (17 April), Guardiola revealed his side “know exactly what to do to win the Premier League.”
When asked if Liverpool dealt a psychological blow to their title rivals on Saturday, Phillips told Football Insider: “I just don’t see City slipping up.
“I could see them going on to win every game. They are that good right now.
“When Pep Guardiola smells the title he ups his game and the players follow suit. He knows it is within their grasp.
“It will be very, very close but I just think the result the other week was a good point for City, even though they could have won the game.
“I think City will win every game even though they have the Champions League semi-finals in there as well.”

Man City are one point ahead of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.
They welcome Brighton to the Etihad on Wednesday.
