Pereira knows he is not getting the Everton job after Sky interview – Mills
Vitor Pereira may already know he has been ruled out by Everton chiefs in their hunt for a new manager, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United and England defender delivered his verdict after Pereira gave an interview live on Sky Sports News yesterday (26 January) to discuss the role.
The 53-year-old took the opportunity to explain the interview process and what he would offer the club.

He insisted he had received positive feedback but Mills has suggested he only went on Sky because he knew it was unlikely he will be offered the role.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “It shouldn’t happen and it’s a little bit of a strange and weird one, to be honest.
“We are hungry for 24/7 media coverage, always looking for soundbites.
“Maybe he’s got the feeling that he’s been ruled out in the meetings he’s had and wanted to get his point across.
“I don’t think he said anything bad but you look at it and go ‘Is that the sort of person we want to be in charge of our football club?’
“It’s not particularly media-savvy and ill-advised. That’s what might rule him out, not what he said. What he said was pretty much fair enough.

“We can’t disagree with it because I didn’t know too much about him, his CV, his style of play or his coaching staff.
“What he’s said is fair but the fact he’s done it is naive and unusual. It’s probably made the owners think ‘Hmm, is this a little bit of a concern?'”
