‘Perfect’ Nuno hailed after Moura reveal that’ll be ‘music to ears’ of Tottenham fans after Levy saga – pundit

Noel Whelan has claimed Tottenham fans will be over the moon to hear Lucas Moura is happy and committed to the club.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Premier League striker attributed the 29-year-old’s happiness to new Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Speaking to ESPN Brazil (September 4th), Moura revealed he is “feeling good” in north London and is desperate to win silverware while at the club.

The winger started Spurs’ first two games of the Premier League campaign but was replaced by Harry Kane for the win against Watford last time out.

He has three years remaining on his contract with the Lilywhites.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of Moura’s comments, Whelan said:

“Moura has become an important player for them so hearing that will be music to Spurs fans’ ears.

“Life at Tottenham is great right now, especially considering where the club was at the start of the summer. They had the manager hunt dragging on and then the saga between Harry Kane and Daniel Levy but, they’ve ended the window with Kane still there and a top manager in place.

“I think they’ve got the right manager there. He has the perfect man-management skills for that group of players. The players look like they are enjoying themselves so I’m not surprised Moura is happy.

“It has all come together. I’m sure there is a belief in that dressing room that they can go on and win something this season. Everyone seems to be enjoying life under Nuno. It looks like they have a family environment.”

Speaking to ESPN Brazil, Moura said: “I’m feeling very good. Physically.”

“I’m playing in a big league, in a big club. I have the goal of winning a title with Tottenham, which I haven’t achieved yet. I still have some goals to achieve here.”
